Across the world, on September 15th every year a parking space is repurposed and converted to reimagine safer and greener streets! Myself and three others teamed up together and made our own installation along Kitchener Street in Auckland CBD near the Auckland Art Gallery.
Our installation is called “The Human Carwash”, as you walk through the ‘carwash’ to wash away the stress and worries of the city’s chaotic bustle and enjoy the moment of breeze and bubbles floating across you. As you reach the end, you write down one worry to want to get off your chest.
This was a great opportunity and experience building a 1:1 scale installation. From sourcing the materials to constructing the wooden frames in the Architecture Workshop.
